Marek Dopiera

By education, I hold a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in computer science, both from the University of Warsaw. By experience, I consider myself much more of an engineer than a scientist.

Throughout my career, I have learned to design, build, deploy, and maintain complex, distributed, and efficient systems. To reach this point, I worked as a software developer, focusing on the lowest levels of storage stacks, writing Linux kernel modules, and optimizing lock-free data structures for faster data processing. Later, as an SRE tech lead, I managed the largest database service on the planet—Google Bigtable.

Finally, I decided it was time to share what I’ve learned with as many companies as possible, which is why I founded Unoperate.
